Hi Guys,

I'm going to give sliding a crack this weekend for some of our sharper toothed friends. :D

I've got the sliders, o-rings and 90 pound trace.

Please can you give me some advice on how much trace I should use between slider and hook and anything else that would help.

if u targeting toothy species, then i would say dont use 90pd steel. rather opt for 150pd steel.

make your trace about 800-900 long, with 2 10/O hooks.

Sure Bob, that's how they pick up BIG nunu Kob, Garrick, Kingfish - usually sliding a live Mullett or Mackerel....

Check out the traces section... there is a trace for this type of fishing... an adjustable live bait Garrick trace - which you can either cast or slide or swim...
