Can someone please help. When do you need a skippers licence and for what size boat. If you can point me towards the correct website.

Hello JDR,

Even if you don't need a skippers license, get one in any case. It's a once off and it will be of value to you.

Google for SAMSA Marine Notices, the information is in there.

Check the tight lines, they have or at-least did do skippers, i did mine through them i think it was R1000 and one day coarse, got in a couple of weeks. get one it is valuable.
