Skiboat windscreen

I currently have polycarbonate on my boat, but it is starting to crack on the corners where it was bended. I phoned around but everyone wants to sell huge sheets of the stuff at R4 000. will perspex work and have anyone tried it. Thanks

All the boat builders use perspex as far I know.
