Ski Weights

Would like to see if they are telling us the truth on their websites.

Weight your kayak and please specify model and year.

If we have more than one of the same model we can see how they differ.

Will go and weight a pinnacle and kaskazi after this long weekend.

Just a quick one. Easy method of weighing your yak. No need for flat bed scale as you can use a normal hanging scale. Get your girlfriend to hold one end of the ski while you hook the other end (handle) onto the scale. Record weight and now do the same on the other side while your girlfriend swops sides. Add both weights together and this will give you the total weight of the ski.

I'm gonna weigh mine tomorrow and update this thread. Cheers

Easier. Climb on bathroom scale with ski. Climb on Bathroom scale alone. Subtract your weight from combined weight and don't add an extra 10 kg to the ski's weight to make yours look better.

interesting idea...

Remember  website stats and advertised weights are for a stock standard ski...

Everytime you add extras  you add weight.

just for an example an extra rod holder with re inforcing and screws adds almost 750grams to a ski...

your ski will put on some weight with time. The buoyancy foam will absorb some water.

Bear this in mind gents!

At  Stealth every process in every ski is weighed and recorded.Because the skis are manufactured using the resin infusion process we have a very small variance and can pick up any irregularities. We like to say that at all times we do our best to produce the best quality skis with attention to all details.

Happy weighing!!

With recorded serial numbers on the hull of the kayak we can even tell you when your kayak was made.

We understand. That's why I added year. This is more to make the people understand that there isn't such a big difference in weight when you choose a ski and it's not such a big factor. Rather choose the ski that fits your fishing/body/kayaking style.

I hate to say anything bad about the evo cos this is a fantastic yak and I love every second out on the water with it.
