Ski-boat Launching in Transkei

We are wanting to do a spot of deep sea fishing in Feb in the transkei, I am after some advice

1) On where the best places, (Safety & fish wise) to launch a 5.5m cat from, are. - Any advice would be great..

2) How far down the transkei the game fish (couta & kingies) would come?

Advice would be great!

I have posted something on this in the past. Do a search and i am sure it will come up. i covered most of the launch sites that are LEGAL.

As for cuda etc, the odd one pops up down to Bashee area, but they are scarce. In 28yrs of fishing down in the kei, only ever caught them once in about '88 and last dec a few were shot at Mpame area and one caught near prezlies. They are scarce. As for kings, never caught a big one down in the kei. got them to 6kgs off the rocks and in the rivers, and a few behing backline, but not many. seen a 15odd kg one near prezlies but againscarce.
in dec its dorado and bonnies witht he odd YFT as far as game fish go. Off mbolompo there are tail but things get nasty for the boat boys as R&S guys get upset if boats come near.

once or twice. it helps having a place at Mdumbi, but have fished a lot at the haven as well. Unfortunetly its all a reserve now so the guys sold their boat.
