Thx Pat, want some more protection from the weather and want to bring the family along, my current boat is like you said is hard to beat from a pure fishing platform.

I will give you a buzz next time I run...

Went along to the boat show and had looksee, good show but a bit disapointed that there were so few entry level ski boats!! Yamaha had a good section with their Explorer and Seacat and tinnys etc... Ace glider had a few boats and Kozi cat had a 16ft .......there were a few others like the Cobras and Gamefish430 but not enough in my opinion.

I did have a good look at the Seacat800- it seems very well built and and finished off , lots of stowage space and is a nice fishing platform, the dash layout is excellent but I would opt for more shade of sorts by extending the ttop back(Durban gets very hot in gamefish season!!) . The one thing that I diden't like was the excessive 'blind spots' on the sides of the windscreen but all and all looks like a FAD machine of note!!

Ja bennie but the cc is a fishing machine!! What were the prices like, when I was there I think all the main ous were having lunch or a dop, the guy that was there told me that it was over 1m!!???(I think he works for Mallards or Suzuki!!)
What did you think of the rest of the show? - some nice electronics hey??

It was actually quite a kak show! If I was there for a hour and a half it was long! You see those mother ships didn't interest me! I spoke to Bill, infact I was supposed to take the Seacat for a spin but I wasn't feeling too awake! My bloody dog got a hook in his mouth, a 8/0 Hoodlum as well so I was running to the vet at 2 am in the morning. Anyway, he was talking about in the region of R600k-R700k but nothing was confirmed at the time.

The CC is a fishing machine, problem is I want my family to be comfortable too or they will loose interest, especially the wife and my daughter!
I have told them to give me a call when the FC arrives!
