Sinkers

Hi there my question is regarding sinkers. After looking long and hard the biggest M or mushroom sinker I can find is an M3 but people often cast bigger to get those distances we all dream of. P4 and P5 I find very hard to get a small ball on so why don't people make/use bigger mushroom sinkers. I am sure there is a reason.

thats a good question?

im taking a guess here my assumption is that maybe if it gets larger than that it would become to big to cast in terms of aero dynamics?

i find a smaller bomb the size of an egg i can cast further than some thing a bit bigger?

I agree with the small bomb but the sinker can be larger/heavier. I mean the P4 and P5 is used because of its weight but surely we can make a M4 or M5 with the same weight but will hold the small bomb better and easier to cast. The only thought is that a M type sinker that is heavy might get snagged easier due to its shape but then that is up to the fishermen to use or not to use.
