Shimano Reel advice: What to buy?

Hi All

Just recently started fishing again, was at Sollie's on Monday and bought a Shimano Clarus 8"6 medium action. Looking to match it up with a good Shimano reel. I fish for carp, barbel...basically anything going. Has anybody bought a good a shimano reel recently with mentioning,recommending?!?

Are you spinning for carp and baber? The rod you have looks like a bass rod so it's a bit difficult to recommend a reel. Also depends on what your budget is.

Using live bait, worms mainly. Also quite like light tackle, using 10- 12lb line on my other shimmies side stab 4000 rb. Budget 600- 800

You can get a Shimano DL10000 baitrunner for R700 but it might be a bit to big for your rod. I fish below Harties dam wall, you?

I have had this reel for ages and it still has not let me down.

Caught lots of bass,barbel and carp on it still has not been serviced.

Works good with a nice stiff bass rod
