Jacques,

What type of fishing are you intending to do? conventional/specimen
What venues will you fish?
Casting or rowing?
What tc are your rods?

A bit of both, but more specimen, and mostly using either the bait boat or canoe, so not so much casting.

Mostly Rietvlei, roodeplaat, bronkies, Klaserie caravan park and harties. This might sound stupid but what is TC?

Good Reel, have been using one for a little while and it does the job well, the drag systems are awesome!

Hey Errant.. how you doing? long time no hear...

Jacques82, TC stands for Test Curve, usually written on the side of the rod.
What this means is, if you clamp your rod horizontal to the ground, this is the weight required to pull the tip down towards the ground untill a 90degree angle is formed to the main shank of the rod.

Errant... geez! thought the BFC got you... you been so quiet.lol! (like Jonah and the whale) hehehehe!

Ahhh Jet park... hmmm... I wanted to brave that place too, but havent really had time.

About the fish... its not really seasonal right now, and the rain and water levels arent helping much, but winter is coming and then the little buggars wont bug tooooo much. thats true BFC time... cant wait.

We should hook up some time and do a session, seeing we both in the same area.

Sorry Jacques82, didnt mean to hijack your thread!

Hi Errant,

I got them for R600 each, was the last 2 though. Apparently they are quite popular.

Thanks for the info!!

Awesome, that seems to be the going rate! Only word of advice don't overload the spool with reel it has a very smooth lip which could slip the reel and end up in a birds nest! :) Enjoy
