collected mt 21 butt in Port Alfred this weekend, 900km odd up 9hrs == 900km down 14hrs.

The trailer axle was Kla moertoe finished so I took a complete new set tires / rims / axle had it fitted in PA on Friday, left for home via kamassi in pe Saturday at 4.30am/

Discovered I could not go over 85km and the trailer would start swaying very bad. some thing not right with the axle placement? 900km at 85, jeez. bakkie pulled no problem, just no momentum at 85km for the uphills, getting passed by 18 wheelers, not so funny!

BIG up's to Tielman and Sampie at Kamassi, ordered a new top deck on Tuesday, collected on Saturday morning in PE.

Sampie promptly emptied my wallet of travelling money, ok I knew there mus be some workable " reject" or items that may have not pull from mould properly etc so went bit prepared.

Thanks Sampie, she gonna be awesome when done, and such a time saver!::S

Ended up with a center cabin, made for the 21 butt 620 sportsfisher, the new top deck section, 2 x under deck fish boxes, a Z craft 6 can fuel seat. and the console section for the center cabin.

4 roadblocks, with lots of explaining, trailer no vin plate, and no plate for my other trailer and no dics, but licence paper, ended up with a 200 fine for no reflective tape, almost got arrested. Seems no vin is when they wake the prosecutor to arrange bail.

How the train looked on the road, ...

Oh and the motors, rusted hour meter reads 460 odd and they look pretty new inside, with auto lubes full of oil, and the prop shafts are turning easy, and one guy who used to crew the boat reckons the motors are ok, here's hoping...

Hi Barryfish...I know that boat...had Mossie the fishereies inspector check me out at sea 15 odd years ago....I can assure you that since then if those motors have done 10 hours it's a lot.It lay stagnating in the marina for many years and has been sunbathing in the car park for the past 2/3years.I thought somebody may have nicked the props.I didn't know it came up for sale ..must have been a bargain.Wish you the best of luck and look forward to see pics of the 'revamp'.

Hi Galeka.thanks for that info. the motors are 88 models. the hour meters read 460 odd. thought that a bit strange, but inside they are nicely oiled and have not been tamperd with and both are in great running nick, have to replace starter armature (bent) and gear casings, great to know they have not much use.

Been sunbathing for 7 years, took long time to get it on the assets disposal list, went to the highest bidder me! ::S
