Hi guys can anybody help with advice .I will be visiting Shelly in June and would appreciate any tips for fishing
at the tidal pool on the rocks and beach next to the ski boat club .
What species and bait will be best ? Is it safe fishing at night ?
Thanks .

Some nice Bronze Bream to be caught in the wash just off the rocks on incoming tide. Use a nice big single prawn tail with a small float about 10cm in front of it. Just check for the crays taking your bait.

Hey there

On a pushing tide with the rite conditions, those rocks can throw a whole variety of species. Like said above the bronze bream will be there and prawn is a good option aswell as a chokka blob bait. A inside out red eye sard will attract rockod and even stumpies. There are always local guys in and around the area so dont be AFRAID TO ASK. Unfortunatly i do not know of any beach or set of rocks that is 100% safe at nite, so id suggest rather wake up nice and early and get in an hour or so of darkness and at first lite the shad will be there.

hope this helps a bit
good luck

The beach to the north of the ski boat base normally produces Shad that time of year. Be there by 06:30 in the morning. I always use an 8 ft drop shot rod, half a sardine and a 1 ounce sinker or a white Rapala Xrap XR10. This is awesome fishing for Shad.
