just wrote a full report but the site crashed so im gonna shorten it a bit.
mates of chatered two boats for saturday and sunday.arrived in port shepston at about 15:00 and decided to try some dropshot.
my brother caught this beaut of a bronze bream on a jerk shad.
headed out saturady morning all the guys except me offcourse wanted to do bottom fishing.caught some decent size scottsman, stumpnose and breams.
i got bored after a couple of hours and decided to throw a green and silver onda with my shomano 7ft naxave rod and stella reel.got no hits and decided to drift a full sard sommer using the spoon.within 5 secs i wwas on and landed a sada sada after about ten minues(i only used 4.7 kg line.)
all excited i rigged another sard and was on again in 5mins,but after a brief run the hook pulled.did the same and after 5 mins my line when peeling of my reel at 5000miles per second(haha)everyone lifetd their rods except the skipper and we both got burnt of.i was not a happy camper.
ten minutes later it was lines up,we could not go out on sunday because of strong winds.
all and all not a bad fishing trip.
thanx to reefer for giving me advise on a rod and reel for starting dropshot and carch for tips on lures.
