Will do Travy B (I'm not crazy really, doc deemed me 'alternatively normal' and set me free provided I stay away from everybody. The fish don't seem to mind me though, hence the fishing.)

Thanks Boepens :) will do. Not sure who DB is but will steer clear of his coaching. Will post the soupfin shots once I figure out the cam and keep ya'll updated on anything bigger I might catch(or might catch me?!?)

@Titsnrod - You can take advise from boepens! I think many people still wish to hook and land the sharks he has! Look at his reports!

Boepens, did you mean DV?

Check your pm's in a couple of minutes

One last question before I stray off topic too much, was easy enough landing the little guys (ok, so 6kg took me 10 minutes to reel huffing like a maternity ward patient) but I managed to pick him up easily, get the hook out and send him on his way.Fishing off rocks what's the best way to unhook the bigger fella's without losing fingers or killing them in the process?

Oh hell hier komma ding...

Please steer clear of 2 people..Mike an DB....

Boeps will be your best bet on advice to get into the toofies...

That said, he's also 6" short already so the stick size is of no importance...

Still he's the most succesfull toothie catcher on SL so far...

Thx for bringing some colour to Sealine as it's been a bit on the dull side here...

My bad!!!lol :fbash:fbash:fbash DB it is! No hard feeling DV, I just never had any dealings with DB so thought it is a typing error!lol

@ TitsnRod - You can get a stainless steel hook remover, They cost about R250, but if I recall correctly there is someone on sealine that can sell them to you for much cheaper. It will keep the fingers on your hands and the stitches in the docs office.lol

Oh and be prepared for a long fight and I think the next question you should ask is how do you pull a big shark closer. As the arms is not always the best idea!!!!

Well now, since you posed the question and I've not yet run out of entertainment, how would one 4"11 girl pull a big shark closer without dislodging the sockets of my arms? (The solution had better be less painful or I might look into being a ballerina instead.)

Doubt any of you waterbound boys have ever seen the wizard of oz, but since my fishing days started in the freestate and saltwater is completely new to me, the first advice I got from a seasoned fisher was the more local version of 'I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore'-quoted, 'My ding, dis nie die Kraaipoort Dam die nie!' Haha, Boeps-If you think I'm going to die shark fishing, PLEASE let me know A.S.A.P :)

MMMMMM maybe you need some one on coaching for this one!lol You have to walk the shark out!!! You throw the rod over your shoulder, set your drag right(so the line doesnt brake) and walk up the dunes(if not on the rocks)... Then you turn around and reel in as you walk closer to the beach... This can carry on for hours with a big shark.

But I am sure even a ballerina can do this....
