Hi guys, triedd the yamamoto creature bait on the back of a shaky head, was a major flop becaus the creature bait is too heavy, you need a worm that flots or atleast with a floating tail. Also it is not a good bait for grass, has to be a rocky bottom so the jig head can wedge in, or atleast partialy gets stuck in so the tail can be moved without moving the jig head.

On a dam with clifs and rock this will work wonders. Saw a shaky head with a sooiye on the back at bass word and belive me it looked awesome, the Sooiye's back end floats and has an awesome wave action with all the little tenticleas on the back. Want to go get some.

When fishing ESA Midmar in September, I landed a nice 3.99 on shakey head with a zoom trickworm.  My son, Cameron, proceeded to put a baby brush hog on the jig head (to my utter disgust mind you)  He quickly caught two fish of 2,2ish and 1,8ish which helped us win the Team event.  At a recent trip to Goedies, he pulled the same stunt, this time with a normal sized brush hog and landed his PB of 3,7kg.  So, IMHO, putting a creature bait on a jig head works.  I find it very sensitive as you really feel the bottom and when dragged across rocks, most probably represents a crab trying to scurry back into it's hole.

You can also read an article I wrote on the jig head technique at
