shad being sold?

Take note the regulation indicates that no Shad may be sold in KZN?? I wonder what the difference is between all the other coastal waters are that this fish is caught??? Thus is it ligit to catch them in KZN or Mozambique and sell them in JHB or PE?

Are shore based rod n reel susbsistance anglers allowed to sell there catches?

I personally feel that many anglers have put in a great effort to ensure that this fish has gained some serious momentum to ensure its continous existance along our shores. I also feel that somewhere along the shores ( perhaps neighbouring shores ) that this fish, SHAD so called South African Stock is being netted and sold commercially. NB this is my own opinion.

From time to time we find this fish for sale in fish stores even in KZN.

Personally I feel this fish has received more attention than our estuaries have. They have recovered substantially since the implementation of protection methods and the efforts of many anglers. Yes continue with protecting them but don't forget about our other fish???????
