Many a decent takcle store sell's reel oil/s, I prefer the Redish Hot Sauce, as it tends to bind to the metal parts and therefor create a thin film of lubrication. Hot Sauce is made by Quantum and is slightly expensive about R80 for 20ml, but the stuff really works very well, also you don't need alot of it to have the reel properly oiled.
I normally just put it on all the moving parts, gears, winch/reel arm and the rest of the links that move the rest or other linkages of the reel.
I am yet to find a grease that will do the job on the gears like the hot sauce.

I tried almost everything from making a jig that won't damage the spool attaching that to the drill's chuck to sticking the spool onto the side of my mom's sewing machine and revving that thing up to the redline, and all for nothing. Cause after just a few casts you're right back to line reeled onto the spool thats not as even as it was when you did it with all these fancy innovations, so bottom line (pardon the pun), it's not worth the effort so put the line onto the reel/spool the normal way,by reeling it onto the spool. You do nowadays get alot of the tackle stores that does that for you, on machines. Preventing the poor unsuspecting family member from getting burned by the line spool grasping it ensuring that your spooling is consistant, and the nice thing is they do it free of charge:

Was checking a couple of sites and the drill part did come up but i am not really for it

I bought new line from a store and never had my reel with so here i am,
I went to buy hooks and then 450 bucks later my government says "HOOKS"
