Anybody know these reels...
They make a narrow spool casting version (although lever drag) that looks awesome!!!

Pair it with a nice lite 13ft 3-5oz rod, fill it with 70lb braid and have a rock fishing reel for life!

I have the LG in the left hand. This is a very good reel and I normally use it from the boat for cuta and tuna. I have used it in surf casting but I have found that the Avet models (MC) with the cast control is a bit better for the surf casting. They (Avet) also make a smaller and narrow version. I used these makes because I fish with the left hand and they do make very good left handed reels.

I'd like to own one of their star drag reels.

Bearings in spool.

Factory fitted mono mag system.

Nice

DJP,

Iron River have brought in all the new Penn Fathom II reels after I jumped up and down about needing the size 15 DCS version and that multipliers were not dead.
If you are after a compact reel the #12 size is very nice too.

Ja, that thing looks like a sick little casting reel, spooled with 0.40 mono and it will be great for surf fishing!

Which model is the narrow spool? Do you have an idea of the price?
I'm in the market for a new narrow spool braid reel... but heck, struggling to find anything decent, even second hand. I think the reps dictate way too much what gets brought into the country. What I like about the SEiGLER reels are the big gears, my biggest concern is using 5oz sinkers on small reel, just punishing it, and won't get the necessary retrieve speed. So looking for something a bit sturdier.
