secret spot

woke up to a great morning, flat clean sea and decided to go fishing, Iv been wanting to try a spot iv been wanting to fish for sharks for a very long time but the timing of tides etc wernt right. today was the perfect day.::S, I wade through a gutter to get to my rock and and decided to put a nice shad head with fillets out 1st. waited 10min and got a couple bumps and reeled up with a eaten shad head, next throw I throw a nice stripie bait. Feeling the bumps again and eventully it feels like its hooked and I feel theres some decent wait to it, hard to tell that its big because im using my bullshark rod, after a short fight I see it, a nice little black mussel cracker of about 3kg:wfish release it in the gutter behind me so that it can rest in the calm water and swim off when it wants to.

next throw was with another stripy bait, nothing much was happening and decided to fool around on my phone and next thing I know is my rod getting pulled out my hands, I hit and I miss :swear, go back and rebait another stripy and throw in again, wait 20min and start getting hot, I start taking off the top of my wet suit off and then as im busy taking it off, another fish decides to bite, rod getting pulled out my hand due to my arms getting stuck in the wet suit, I hit and then im fuss::S it swims left wheres theres reef and swim under, behind, around rocks, thank goodness for .55 t-line and 1.2mm leader, got stuck in horrible reef 4 times and I still managed to bring it to the gulley to pull it into the gutter, a nice spotted gulley, I wade back with the spotted gulley next to me. Very nice spotted gulley of 19.4kg and then I see its tagged with the number A151922, it was 155cm female caught at gonubie. Wade in the water with it to make sure it swims safely and head back to the tackle box to rig a slide bait, rigged a mullet with a 13/0 circle hook and started sliding, waited 10min and then I get another bite, takes its time, then it pulls away and I set the hooks, and I felt utter dead wait, thought this is a flat fish playing games, next thing I look at the water with a raggy of 100kg+ on its side with my line rapped around it, reeled it in and then it woke up and kicked once and snapped my main line, raggy jumped and swam off:X line must of got damaged during the spotted gulley fight, to think if I stuck to my throw baiting I might of actually landed that fish, never the less ill be back for revenge and good to know my new spot throws decent fish:fbash
