Hi Rm
Just a couple of points.
1.0 I think we should start 1 Sept 2007
2.0 The 30 post thing ..I think not..reason...it will make the issue relative as if a guy really wants a position all he / she has to do make 30 silly entries on any post...we have had in the past...OH...YEA...LOL>>>etc
3.0 Include all types of fishing...we built up an Excel Database and just use the last column for spear..F?W etc...and just do a sort function when we want to print or post.

I agree with Jace about the start date, being September 2007, to go back a year will be a logistical nightmare.... At least now we almost compel a member to carrry the camera to the beach, and post some shots...

And as Jace says, if u build the database on Excel, its easy to seperate the different facets of angling.

I also think, that a strict set of rules be put in place, and all criteria of these rules have to be met for the catch to qualify...

With all new ventures, its going to have teething problems, but i cant foresee anything major...its just about ironing them out and refining the process as we go on...

Just my 2c!!!

What a great proposal. I,m sure you don't get a lot of sleep, lying awake thinking out these wonderfull ideas. Let me know if I have to help with anything.A photo with each catch a must. How about a cat for the ladies. Get them motivated and no more worries about time spent at the water. ( ask Raggieman )Make the starting date now as I agree it will be difficult to varify all previous catches.

For the time being, we'll start with Rock & Surf, after that, FW and Deep sea/offshore - but I'm not sure there is enough interest in those categories??Any other ideas?
Hi reefman

Common be nice you now you will have to do a offshore category as well, guys like Wayne won't have a chance to register his fishes caught on the rigs. There is a few guys on the site that do offshore more than surf, you will definitely have an interest in offshore as well. Get it going and i'll send my stuff as well as couta Wayne etc.

This is a great great idea you came up with, get it rolling as it will be interesting to see who catch what and where. Definitely thumps up for this one.
