Sealine adverts

Howzit, I know website cost money etc for hosting etc. but the amount of adverts and the size and placement is getting really irritating.

Pop-up adverts every time I open a page and massive banner adverts in the middel of a thread really deteriorates the quality of the content.

Since it's the members that contribute to the content and actually keeping the site alive I think you should rather revert to making it more user friendly.

Ek verstaan jou frustrasie.

Dit frustreer my ook...

Al wat ek weet, is as jy nie die vaardigheid gaan ontwikkel om die advertensies mis te kyk nie, sal jy moet betaal......

Dit gebeur nou ook so met dit waty ons as koertante keken het en digitaal gegaan het, dat jy nou moet betaal, as jy nie advertensies wil sien nie.

Ek het myself nou al so ingestel dart as ek 'n adverttensie sien, blaai(*croll) ek verby, en ek het vrede gemaak, want ek wil nie betaal nie.

What I've done now is download an add blocker for Firefox and kept my Safari like normal. See if it works.

Get yourself "Adblocker Ultimate" and uBlock
You wont ever see a popup or banner add againAnd if not for anything else Youtube no more adds you can finally watch what you like without adds.

Yip, it is frustrating.

For now we will just have to live with it.
Sealine needs to be moved to a new hosting company, with new software.

The costs to run sealine is around R 1800 a month.
To keep Sealine free, we need the current ads.

We are looking at other options.
