hi guys need to know how to catch sealice

Hi seelan, used to see a lot in Durban between the piers,North Beach/Bay.

When the tide is low and a wave brakes on the beach and pulls back you can see them as they are dislodged from the sand. They only travel a few inches before they dissapear. You can get a good birds eye view from the pier to see if there any around. In the night if you walk close to the waters edge with the lights and shaddows from the pier they are even more visible due to the ripple effect they leave as they are dislodged.

good luck, dont know if its legal to catch them there.Dont walk down the pier first as due to all the boom being puffed on there you will be staring monsters in the face when you catch one.

You use a triangular net to catch sealice, when the shorebreak breaks you put the net down and as the water pulls back you shuffle your feet and the sealice then get washed into the net. You are not alowd to collect bait organisms next to the peers in Durban.
