SeaCat 510

Hi guys, we thinking of upgrading our boat, I know that it isn’t the best time, but we thinking about after lockdown or next year. We currently have a Tomcat 440/Gamefish 430. We’ve been happy with it and have had it since 2010, but looking to upgrade on size to a Seacat 510 CC, but am curious about certain things.
1) IS there enough space in the front for a seat?

2) I’ve seen that the dry weight is 670kg, how does that compare to other 16ft boats?

3) How does the ride compare to other boats?

4) What is the fishability like, compared to the forward console?

5) Is there much of a difference between the new SeaCat Blast and the older version?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Also what size and brand engines would be best suited (fourstroke)?
I would assume Yamaha 50s would do the job?

Hi.

Most Seacat 510's come with F60 yammies and that is more than enough power. I have owned the 520 in both CC and FC but fish on a 510 CC often.

When you say a seat in the front, what do you mean? Attached to the console? Dont think there will be enough space for this.

The boat handles well and is easy to tow and move on the beach.

Regarding models and changes, best would be to speak to Ryan and Durban Yamaha, he will talk you trough which 510 hulls are best.

Center console are nice, cause you can fish off most of the boat, they nice for spinning etc, they are wetter than the FC's.
