Hi Guys,

I have been reading all sorts of reports on bait presentations and I am in a quandary as to what is the best bait cotton to use. Some say Elastic cotton only others Ghost Cotton??? I suppose it will depend on the bait being used. If so what cotton should be used with what bait? All opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

The latex 'cotton' or ghost cotton is best, as it digs into your bait and hides itself, the normal cotton doesnt really do this.

 

Whichever cotton you use-just remember to use as little as possible to keep your bait on the hook (a toothpick through the hook helps alot)

Thick latex cotton works for me and it comes off the hooks easy but always have other types of cotton with you as latex only works for softish baits when putting on a crab for bait use a elastic or ghost cotton a good tip that i got from a friend(thanx smiley)
