Five of us went to Scottburgh rocks by the pool.
Got there @ 5am, high tide, water was perfect for fishing.
Saw a few small shad caught in the bay area, thrown back.
Cousin Shaun slid out a bonnie, put his rod on a rod stand and went for a leak, his luck his reel began to scream, i nervously took the rod while he was running back, fish was still taking line, when he took over it wasn't long before the line broke. He was pissed off and quickly went to tie a new trace.
He slid out another bonnie which was not touched.
One of the other friends caught a grey shark on a shad trace on the right hand side of the pool. Gave him a good fight, about 1.5m in lenght.
One of the locals caught a big diamond skate.
This all happened early in the morning.
I had a mackerl head out and a chokka prawn combination which was not even touched.
Not a bad morning of fishing, got very quite after 8AM, not even a bite.
