I have finished modding a spinning reel that was giving the same issue when casting.

I solved the problem by using magnetism.

The same magnets used for magging multipliers. Rear Earth Magnets. Small ones

Basically , when you open the bail the magnets come into contact and hold the bail open, there is no way under casting force that they will separate .

Finish your cast and then close the bail normally. All the work is done under the bail spring plate so it is out of sight.

Just a thought.
Your upper arm or elbow is hitting the bail arm and closing it.
Go through the motions of a cast (slowly and without a sinker) and look where your right elbow and upper arm are relative to the bail.
If you have the bail open towards your right arm (assuming you are right handed) you can knock it closed during the cast.
Had this issue.
Make sure bail is open towards the opposite side.

there ist not enough presure from the Bail Trip Lever on the Friction Ring. Order a new Friction Ring or, what I would do, bend the tip of the BTL slightly deeper and the problem is solved.
