Saltwater vs Freshwater Fishing

Always loved freshwater fishing. Blew my pocket money on it when I was young and blew my salary on it when I was older. Haven't spent a cent on it in over a year why?? Went to the sea and got pulled around by some powerful creatures.
If I gave you a choice between taking the 4 hour trip from pretoria to Bloemhof to catch barbel and carp or heading out to vidal to catch one of the many species that hang around in the big blue - no contest 100% salt

I reckon every one to his/her own ,what ever tickles you.

I have seen freshwater guy's get just as excited as what we do pulling a big fish and enjoying it just as much.

I think what ever is the closest to youre hart when it comes to fishing:wfish

I started fishing R&S about 2 years ago and I have to say that it beats fresh water fishing. Fresh water fish do not fight nearly as hard as its salt water counter parts.

SALT FOR ME!

I'm a bit of a fence sitter.i enjoy fishing as a whole, just mention the word fishing and I'm there, whether it be surf, deep sea,big game, spear fishing,bass,carp,fly...you name it..I love them all..but i gotta admit.nothing beats the thrill of ROCK AND SURF FISHING!!!!....BUT then again,i could die from the adrenaline rush i get from hearing my reel screaming for help out of the blue, indicating that there is a carp on the other end asking for a fight!!by the way:imnew

Once Aagain, fishing is fishing. If it has fins and I can catch it I will balance my tackle and catch it.

For the adrenalin rush and Mane E Mano fun you can't beat the sea. I personally enjoy the Freshwater match/tournament fishing more than R&S

Fishing is fishing and I don't care if it's fresh or saltwater fishing, fishing is fishing and as long as I got a chance to hook a fish I'm going to wet a line

My verdicts out, no contest between fresh or salt - FISHING is the winner
