Thought i'd Let those who remember him , KNow that Hein Van Zyl, a.ka. Sailfish,Passed Away suddenly .

Though He < Much Like Me , was silent on Sealine: He Was An AVId Angler, A Wonderful source of information, always willing to offer up advice .

This NEws Comes as quite a Shock , considering I had done an Evening stint With him 2 weeks ago and he Seemed fine.

Rest In peace buddy.

Def-e-nition, Yes its a major loss of knowledge. I fished with Hein many a times and he always had a trick or 8 up his sleeve. Loved to fish for Spotties at Reebok, as soon as he landed a Kollie, he used to say "Dis my Spottie se kos".
His last gadget he shared with me was that Lip in front of his sinkers fishing in rocky areas, lifting the sinker out of the rocks immediately.. Vaarwel Hein rus sag my maat tot weersiens, ons gaan jou mis..

Very sad, big loss to the fishing community. Hein was 'n man met 'n plan, many tricks up his sleeve and always willing to help and share knowledge.

Hein, hope you pulling some big steenies up there in your yellow oil skins!

RIP Hein! Fished a Sealine Competition or 2 with him when he stayed with his brother in S/west! Think i've still got one of his Galjoen traces in my tackle bag!
