What a sad bunch of people who run the SADSAA comp. Having disqualified our fish on the first day due to a safety issue of a tag not being placed on the board in the excitement. The boat called in to control and was in the tent at 4 30pm 30 minutes before cut off and the fish was verified and accepted and congratulations accepted. They disqualified the team while a team member was at the club with the tag in his pocket. this was done without contacting us at 2 minutes past 5. Then denied our appeal outright and have deliberately and vindictively taken an action against me and the team based on personal grudge. Every team fishing here knows who won this comp including the wrongfull winners who I had a talk with this morning. Shamefull state of affairs and another blight on SADSAA. Definitely time for a few heads to roll in the hierarchy. Piss poor indeed!!!!!!

Childish exactly and cowardly because of personal issues! Sent Dick Pratt a personal message this morning telling him exactly that!

Take it up with SADSAA.

At the briefing it was repeatedly stated one's tag must be back on the board by no later than 17:00....

Everyone knows Team Trinity won it. Accept it and move on!!

Have taken it up with SADSAA and you are a young one in this game when you have been around as long as I have and have had to eat the crap dealt out by by SADSAA over the years you might understand, but I doubt it. This was not a rules issue its a personal vendetta and thats where the problem lies. There is a protocol to follow in these situations and when a team is not informed of a decision and given enough time to appeal then the process is flawed. Good sense and ethics should prevail at all time, in this case it wasnt. You can paint it any way you like the actions were malicious and in bad faith! And there lies the problem. I sincerely hope you do not end up on the wrong side of one of these decisions. Its not pleasant!

Thx Dugongboy its easy to be critical and we made no excuse for not returning the tag. The way they handled the whole affair was in the most unsportsmanlike manner I have ever encountered. I was lied to about phone calls to my phone and that reeks of guilt. There was another agenda at play here and hence the course of events. So sad that this could have been a great comp with no issues. They chose to make an issue and were dead wrong in thinking we would let it go..not this time. There is a executive meeting shortly and I sure hope that Dick Pratt gets to feel the steel of the sharp knife he has been weilding.

if i am not mistaken the struis comp is just a friendly , the SADSAA is a money comp, big difference.

Reel magic sorry for you experience. Love you rides ( Rodman), your charter looks top notch. Good luck sorting the issues out.
