SACS het inligting gekry dat sogenaamde spesiehengelaars onregmatig Groot Karp uit Kwaggahoekdam verwyder en na 'n ander dam verskuif. SACS het Kwaggahoekdam deels oorgeneem omdat die eienaars vermoed het dat groot Karp deur sogenaamde hengelaars onregmatig van die perseel verwyder word en dus gesteel word! Gelukkig is daar nog baie groter vis tans die afgelope winter en lente gevang deur hengelaars wat kan hengel. SACS se bestuur en lede sal Maandag koppe bymekaar sit en die pad vorentoe uitstippel. SACS het prokureurs en advokate as lede en ons gaan hul hulp inroep om teen die skuldiges op te tree aangesien hul nou aan ons bekend is en daar behoorlike bewyse aan SACS verskaf is. Die staf by die dam het ook opdrag gekry om op die uitkyk te wees vir dit en ons bied selfs behoorlike finansiële bystand aan die staf wat derduisende rande beloop as hul verdere voorvalle gaan identifiseer. So hul is op hete kole om iemand te vang! Hengelaars daag glo net by die dam op sonder om by SACS te bespreek en wil dan hengel. Dit word onmiddelik gestop om verdere voorvalle te voorkom.

It seems no one can be trusted. What ever happened to the principles and conduct specimen anglers are supposed to apply to set the example to others?
Stringent measures will now have to be implemented to keep control over such venues and causing inconvenience to the ethical anglers putting effort into these waters to ensure long-term sustainability sustainability.

People like this must be band from fishing for live!
What's the progress on this? I know of 2 guys that are definitely guilty of stealing/moving fish, whatever you want to call it and what I find most funny about this is they both share biblical phrases or openly praise God/Jesus on their FB and/or Instagram profiles. Kind of ironic.

It's a private dam in that it is owned by a person/people and not the state. Hennie is correct that SACS now manage it, but there are chalets and another camp spot that are not exclusive to SACS. I'm not sure big fish were introduced but there is the possibility that some were moved there from other dams.

The only time SACS will move fish is when there is a crisis and the survival of fish are threatened, such as pollution, hyacinth etc. Fish in such situations have been relocated in the past under controlled conditions to ensure their survival.
I hope the individuals removing fish from a healthy eco system for financial gain are dealt with severely when they are caught as they have no regard for the future of our sport.
