SA Shark Conservancy's (SASC) 1st Responsible Angling Clinic

Dear Anglers

The South African Shark Conservancy (SASC) is extremely excited to announce our  RecFishSA project (click to learn more).

A large component of RecFishSA is to foster better relationships between anglers, scientists and management, and with this in mind, we have developed the Responsible Angling Clinic  (RAC).

Angler who attend RAC will learn how to tag their caught and released sharks, how to best ensure post-release survival, basic biology and ecology of sharks, skates and rays and more.

RAC is FREE, ORI tag kits will be available for order at R300 each.

Please see attached for more details - book now, space is extremely limited.

See you there!

Fin-S

Sealiner
Will it cater for boat based releases and tagging of shortfin makos? Even after 35 years I still struggle not to harm the fish.

The RAC is aimed at shore-based anglers but the rules are generally the same when it comes to handling, hook selection etc.  You are absolutely welcome to join us, the clinic is free - so .......
Attached is what we will be covering in the RAC :)
