I haven't fished it recently but like most other places, it's best days seem to be behind it. Used to produce good fish, not easily caught but some of the fattest bass I've ever seen. Since the carp herpes problem and (so I'm told) illegal netting, the bass seem to have disappeared. Doubtless they'll be back at some point. If you do go, keep your lures as close to cover as possible as they hide from the cormorants - probably 1 in 5 bass I caught had cormorant strike wounds. Also use a heavy leader, 'coral' on the reed stems is very abrasive. I've been cut off in a second by barbel there with .45mm line.
