Thanx for the pic's mate......spoke to someone i know this morning and he was on he's way back from Rust de Winter and caught 25 bass in a couple of hours!!

 

Will it be too much to ask that you send us a picture of that bait you used mate? Just for interest sake

Just match your color of your chatter bait for the water color and also try and match the color of the bait fish

This is my update from Rust de Winter:

We got to rust de winter on Saterday morning about 8:30 and was surprised to see that the weather there was better than in PTA!

There were plenty people on the dam later the day and no shortage of anglers on the banks neither, i tried all kinds of lures but with no success at all. I started of with some "watermelon seed" going over to some Rapala's and then some other baits.

Not even one bite!!!!

I was told on Thuesday last week that someone caught 16 large bass at the same spot i was fishing? How is this possible? Was all this 2 blame on the sh1tty weather?

This was my first visit to Rust de Winter and i will deff go back there next month, the water quality is perfect for healty bass and the dam itself has not been interfered with by humans (not in a dramatic way).

Very nice lacation for this great dam!

Only downside might be security when camping (not that gaurds will help) and secondly the lack of medical assistance ( if something went wrong)
