Hi all

After reading on Sealine that the bass fishing is good at RDW, we decided to give it a try this Saturday.

When we got there the wind was howling and there were more boats than people. We got nothing in the morning around the rocky drop offs, so started fishing the area around the reeds down the first dirt road.

Using Watermelon Flukes with the red glitter, rigged carolina and fished dead slow along the bottom, we managed to get two bass around midday. The first was around the 600g mark, and the other was knocking on 2kg. Unfortunately we had to leave soon after. Just our luck.

The dam seems to be in a good condition, the water is clean and according to the other anglers we chatted to, there are many fish.

We will definately be going back.

Hey Hey went 2RDW on sunday and man the guys where catching bass like crazy our group got 5 and lost dunno how many in a space of 2 hours there must have been about 18 or 20 caught around us and including us in the 2 hours and then boom the wind came up the fish went off the bite nothing 4 the next 5 hours it was nuts. who ever says theres no bass in RDW damn u must be doing it wronge then cause there r plenty . how ever techno park i must be doing it wronge cause i got nothing there friday or saturday oh wait i got 2 crabs hey better that nothing.......

Good job skunk. Yeah, there are loads of bass in RDW. As for Technopark, stay away from the local ladies and crabs won't be a problem !!
