So I may be fishing Rushmere for the first time ever - & that in winter..gotta luv it. I'm a firm believer of single hookbaits / or a 3 - 5 bait stringer for winter on short sessions - 1 nighters or a session of a few hrs etc....soaked & heavily flavoured with an essential oil of choice --- !!!

had 2 runs on this method last week in a matter of hrs...worked for me in the past many a time.

Question: any of U that fished it in winter: how does it fish, sizes, bait, rigs approach etc.... just want some insight into the venue !!!!

& anyone here use this method & what essential oil have/do U use ???

basspro, what essential oils have you had success on? I was looking at some today at the healthshop... some good options there, not sure which I should try...

MadCarper -

Essential Oils: Lavender / Bergamott or Black Pepper - U can also try Clove if U can find it.

I was out again this weekend for a few hrs - had 1 run. I have done a ton of research of how oils react to certain flavors & when immersed in water - which carriers work & which don't -- mind boggling.
