Hi all

Haven't been to Rus de Winter for a long time ... what's it like these days for bass fishing ?

My bud and I are planning a trip out there tomorrow ... well he insists on going there

My dad and I was there late December. Dam is full and water was crystal clear from the dam wall to about where the area where bank anglers fish, stops. Then the water became muddier the closer you got to the inflows. We had to fish right on the bottom and fish slow to get fish. The fish we got was not big but I am sure that it might have picked up the last few weeks. Flukes (dark colours) with a weight to get it down on the bottom worked the best.

RdW on 3 Jan 15 - Fishing was slow but managed to get a couple in the 800g - 1.3 kg class. Water temp was 28 degrees.  Bigger fish was deep.
