Hi Guys

Ruimsig has been rather quite was there yesterday.
Iggy as to ur statement above.

Apprently there is some women that owns a rose farm and she is paying the guys to bring the fish to her for her pvt dams.:X

As far as the Bass i have had manier arguments with ppl the that are also taking the Bass out :swear either to stock there pvt dams to to "eat".

Anyone that has fished there has seen the old guy (Gum Boots and 12ft rod)that goes into the reeds and everything he catches goes into his bag.

Gonna have to watch him as the bass will be spawning soon.

Sorry my 5 cents worth.

So my earlier reply dissapeard for sum reason! But here goes. Shannon is the Dam manager at Laurentia, the mentioned rose farm. I don't think the way he cares for the fish that he would get involved in illegal buying of fish thats removed from other dams. I will be highly dissapointed if this is in fact the case! Will contact others and find out about this rumour!

If I see the guy removing the Bass or any other Fish, all hell will break loose!

Im disgusted in the state Ruimsig is at the moment! There used to be big Carp around, 13+ kg, but I have not been able to catch any bigger than 10kg's. No more trees left at the swims, rubbish scattered all over or lying next to the provided rubbish bins.

Makes me wonder what peoples houses looks like if they leave nature in such a horrible state after fishing!!!!!!!

I'd love if they can fence off the dam and have access control. Even better, ban fishing there for 2 years so the dam can be rehabilitated!

It could be ( used to be ) such a nice place to fish and take the family with, green grass, shade under the trees, plenty of Carp, Bass. Everything destroyed in a couple of years! There used to be Kurper around, but all from the smallest have been caught by our local alliens thats nesting/invested next to the dam now!

I fully get it why private venues remains private!

When you leave people to their own devices, things will usually go pear-shaped, hence the need for rules, but then again, policing becomes necessary. If all of us were guided by conscience & a common goal, the world wouldn't be so messed up. I used to believe in the the basic good of human beings, every human being, but I'm having serious issues with that theory as I grow older......sad, considering we have kids to raise, & you need to teach them to believe in something, you want to protect them from evil so it doesnt infect &/or discourage them, it's quite a dilemma for a parent, coz people without a conscience, raise ignorant children, & they in turn piss in the pool of good intentions those supposed 'good' & God-fearing parents try to create, some parents spoil their kids, teach them prejudice, inculcate bully mentality. Im dirfting way off topic now, but anyway, it might make sense to get a clean-up strategy for the dam.....something proactive, maybe pay somebody to clean up after weekends, coz people aint gonna change. Maybe guys who fish there alot could speak to the people they meet there often, start a ripple, ask people to keep an eye out, spread the word, to clean up after themselves at the very least, & that taking away all the fish is robbing themselves & others for the future.

Unless you have a legal right to the property or the fish, people taking them out are gonna ask you who you think you are telling them not to take fish away, I dont think that's the way to go, your conscience should guide you in that regard, what is this common decency people keep taling about, despite others acting like animals, coz doing the same takes you off the moral high-ground very quickly.
