Just got an sms from Johan Donald the manager of the Protea Carp Angling team participating in the World Champs in Southern France.

They're at the function now and he can't contain himself as SA is for the 2nd year in a row the World Carp Angling Champs.

World Champ pair Hennie du Preez and Andries Maree (3rd place last year)

3rd place (2008 Champs) GP Nel and Kobus van Loggerenberg

Not big bags of fish - winning bag was 15fish 65kg

But the win was a clear win with RSA on 6pts and 2nd plce on 15pts - don't know who they are but will post full results when available

Thanks Craig dis great nuus! Eks baie bly hulle het weer gewen. Die manne het nogal baie moeite gedoen hierdie jaar, GP hulle was omtrent 2 maande gelede in Frankryk om te gaan voorberei vir die toernooi.
