roof mounted rod holders

Ok so where are all the DIY boffins.

Guys have seen roof mounted rod holders that can be screwed into the ceiling and rods stored Nothing fancy just cheap and practical as well as not falling out of the holder with any kind of closing or locking devise.The design must allow for the rods (1piece) to remain in the holder while mounted in the ceiling.

All thoughts and ideas would be most grateful

Longish "u" shaped alu strips with some felt stuck on it should do the trick ?

Just remember, screw the brackets into the beams and not just the rhino board.

Have seen photos of the real brackets somewhere here on Sealine, but cant find the thread now, but I hope you get the idea with my very limited drawing skills!
