Finally the first for summer...got him on life plattie which laid from Saturday 16h00 and only got picked up 05h30am Sunday morning.

Pity the pic doesn't show it...this fish was unique as it didn't have a left eye, and there were no signs of previous injuries - my quess, this fish hatched without a left eye.

Good catch The eye just shows they rely more on smell than sight to get to the bait.

Well done. How many rods do you fish with. If the fishing is slow like that, move the bait around a bit. Can generate a quicker bite. Depending on what the normal bite rate of the water is.

But good catch, may there be many more this season.
