Well, a mate and me spent 7 hours or so on the water yesterday, water was green but ok, the hyacinth wasnt a problem at all, between us we caught 2 barbel (15lb & 12lb), 2 bass, between 1 & 1.5kg each and a couple of small kurper, was good fun ;)

Oh, the mermaids were caught on platties with a float, the rest was caught on No.2 and No.3 spinners

There was a motor boat parked in the water at the canoe club launches so I would presume so.

What is that green canoe / boat / kayak that you are sitting in? It look pretty cool and comfortable. What was the price on that.

It is the Hunterski fishing Kayak, not sure what it costs as this one belong to a mate who manufactures them, I will get him to post the price of it here ;)
The seat is very comfy as I only started loosing feeling in my butt after about 5 hours of the 7 hour stint on the water.
Here is another pic.

Hi Guys,

The standard Hunter Ski retails at R4800excl. As J said I manufacture them, so I could do you better deal than that! Give me a shout anytime, I can also demo the kayaks for you. Brian 0723799577.

Here's my snorbek!!

Last thursday, it was as hot as hell, all fishing was done from the Ski. Also only fished the "wild" side of the dam where the bank anglers cant get to.

We will be on the water again this thursday, hopefully catch a couple more ;)

Jacques, 99% of the Hyacinth is gone, you can fish off the bank no problem, the hyacinth that is left is around the sides and in one or two gullies, there is still a small risk of it drifting out at nights but you should be fine, its worth a shot i would say.
