Who can help with doing work on rod guides etc? I have 3 rods in need of some repair - they all need new tip guides.

I see you live in Houtbaai, be prepaired to travel or go the DIY route, tip eyes are easy to repair, you can just glue them on

Howzit Rods! When you coming to the cape to join us for a day out??

Willie, i've repaired a couple of rod eyes before. I have the right thread for you and epoxy resin if you want to DIY it.Its pretty easy, you can even hold a Windhoek in the other hand

Pat I've got the Windhoeks and you know where to find me! One rod I need the second eye moved, and a roller guide put on the tip. The other is a spinning rod - I need the tip eye removed and replaced. The 3rd rod is a 6wt flyrod which had its tip broken off - I just want a new tip guide installed. Now, for me to scour the planet until I find all the bits 'n pieces and threads and epoxies just does not appeal - too much on my plate at this stage. I'd rather pay someone else!

RODS! when you coming to CT Meneer? Say howzit to all your buds up there I have not seen much activity from them here. Fishing has been good but like most others, getting the time (weekends) and weather all lined up takes effort and a bit of luck inbetween the fighting children etc.
