Sorry me again.
I have been using a bluemarlin G3 6-8 rod and Shinmano speedmaster reel for about 3 years now. Must say that is also not a bad combo for edible fish.
Not sure of the G3`s price but the speedmaster can be bought from Khan at R750. Very good price.

planning on getting it from them as well, probably next week, iam a beginner and have only casted with a grinder, so this will be completely new to me.

Loomis and franklin shockwave very good or an assassin beachmaster with a daiwa sl50. this will be a lighter alternative to the torium 30.
