Hi Guys, I have been trying to float fish with the stndard 9 ft road but have always struggled when having to cast a float that has been set for deep water a long way.Until recently that is I purchased a Berkley AIR im8 (A94 - 109ML) 10'9" Medium Light Spinning rod paired with a Shimano Sidestab 4000RE reel loaded with 4.5 Kg Siglon.
To date my largest fish is a 3.5 Kg Carp which the rod handled with ease.
 The rod is not purely for float fishing, it throws a 3grm floating Chokka Jig a good 45m, and is sensitive enough to fell the slightest touch with approx 80 chokka thus far.
