Rod and Marine Open day and classic 

Hi Guys. We here at Rod and marine would just like to know who would be interested in joining us at a open day we would be hosting the last weekend of the month in Brits. It will be hosted at a private dam that hardly gets fished and is stocked with some healthy bass. The largest in the dam is a 5.7kg and there are a couple of fish over 3kg’s and 2kg’s and whole lot of fish over and under 1kg. If memory serves me right the last comp Rod and Marine had there were won with a 3kg + fish. We are just busy finalizing the last details and then I will post it here for you guys to enter. Entries are limited to 40 as this will be a bank comp and spaces are limited as the dam is not that big. The below picture shows the left side and then the dam opens up to the right. There will be wonderful prices up for grabs and everybody will walk away with something. The rod and marine pro staff will be there to lend a helping hand and provide you with some tips and techniques that will improve your Knowledge. Entry will be around R120 for the day. Final details will be posed shortly.

Believe me guys this is a dam to fish but just keep in mind that after the comp the dam will be closed to the public again so unfortunately you can only fish that location on the day of the comp and believe me it is well worth the trip to fish this outstanding venue

Mate, i'm trying to figure out where Brits is....

Will it be very crowdy there? Let you know as soon as you give all the details thanx Johan

Brits is just other side of Harties. It’s about 45kg from PTA and are a lot closer for you than Rust de winter and you will defiantly have better success there

anybody going from the paulshof/ sunninghill area can go with me....

HI VC.

As much as I would like to take part me better half is comming home that weekend after 1 month in Tanzania - So I will not be able to attend maybe next year.

Just be warned Raps is most likey to pitch a tent at the venue - make sure you have Prizes that consist of Klippies n coke n Plenty of refreshment stands as I just don't know the boy will make it through the day cause best catch he got this far is a babberaas.:spite

Thanx Ryan, i almost forgot my tent!

Not klippies mate....i am a brandy drinker yes but go for richeliue and coke.....or klippies premium.


I had about 2000 000 bottles of richilue in my life but still can't spell it properly!! lol

Johan, am i correct by saying it will be on the 1st December? (Saterday).
