Rigging your drone for fishing

Hi guys, I have a DJI phantom 3,I would like to occasionally use it to drop a bait but would like to find an alternative way to the RC bait dropping mechanisms that cost an arm and a leg, I have some outrigger clips with tensioner and would like to get some views and opinions on how to best go about rigging it to the drone as was done before the RC mechanisms came about, any input would be greatly appreciated.

have a look in the Kite Fishing section, the out-rigger clips mentioned. have used same with the kite, works like a charm.
Check out some kite fishing utube clips, explains the use thereof.

Short and sweet.

Get yourself a release mechanism designed for fishing.

Your biggest risk with Outrigger is a jam and no release and having to drag lines and bait back over the surf

2nd risk is the outrigger recoiling into the gimble on the drop and even worse hitting a propeller
