Rigging Methods

Hi Gents

In the last couple of weeks a few very interesting rigging methods has shown their pretty little heads. I think everyone could learn from the pros how they rig their worms. Two new rigging methods metioned where:

  • The up side down Fluke with the weight in the head and the hook backward[/*]
  • The double rig. Johan said jr fluke in the front and a normal fluke in the back.
[/*]
Do you have any other new rigging methods. Please post them so we all could learn a bit more. I am still a Bass doppie and some of the guys on the site are pros catching comps and actually winning them. I ask all the pros to help the weakend worriors catch some decent bass.

Hallo Monster!

If you go to bassing.co.za search for GWF ( great white fluke ) no 3, there I gave some alternatives to Mark who did a stunning article.

I will put up a few more on Sealine ( that didnt appear on the above site ) just for interest sake and to avoid duplication.

Greetings

Fluke cut in half head to tail showing the flex difference between the normal bait and half a bait.

Also works when running out of baits and is good on drop shot too!

The twin fluke rig, created by Fritz Beumer .

jnr fluke in the front ( weightless ) and std fluke ( weighted with soldering wire around hook ) chasing.

I also did the "flookey wookey" (as dubbed by Mark) or reverse fluke rig on this double set up....and it is a killer, both flukes can be reverse hooked or just one, thus they swim in different directions....amazing!

About 2cm coil spring of a pen that can also be screwed into the head of the fluke, then thread the hook into the bait through the spring.

This will substancially decrease the tearing of the head due to line cutting when a fish strikes.
