Hey all the SE is still blowing so the water is dirty and cold, out wide yesterday the water was 19 degrees and dirty and that was at 1200mtrs !!!, ZERO FISH ZERO PULLS.

The wind is expected to turn but we need a strong NE to bring in that blue warm again, the boys are in 20 mtrs this morning looking for rock-cod and the 80's and 130's are in bed with there blankets on and the konas from yesterday have just de-frosted!!

will keep you posted but at this stage don't go dashing of to the deep this weekend!

Hey shagnrelease, I hear you...wind blowing from the wrong side here (Bazaruto) too and water gone a bit greenish on the reef's edge where we fish for the Black's as well...however still alright out deep and no where near that cold, we still have sunny skies and water in the high 25c
Still on the same coast but its funny how things differ...here is the NE that brings in the shity water and we praying^^.. for a strong SE to clear things up!!!
Hope we both get the wind we need pretty soon to go get 'em.
Tight lines...

Just got back... Tried choka & prawn combo on two rods... > Not even a tug or a nice reel run:swear

Peckers seem to be finishing the bait before the big fish arrive:?

Hell Matt, if you could get I would be forever in your debt!!
I used to use a slightly longer shanked hook and a fairly heavy nylon bite trace, with a light stick 20-30cm away, I always remember there bite was more like a consistent heaviness on the line, but its been a while since I caught a walla!!

not sure what other methods work!! anyone out there??

snr, thats pretty much what i had in my mind. laven sounds as though he might be there too. along with the possibility of surfamike too we might just have a sealine assualt on the resident wallas!

il see what i can get, you never know, i might hit the jackpot. are there any bag limits in place for walla?

Cutlassfish (Walla Walla) Trichiurus lepturus 0 CM None

there is no size limit or limit to how many you can take out.

I think having a sealine social comp to catch Shagnrelease's Walla's is a great idea!!
I think Johanfourie is also going to try and get some for me!

I will sponsor a brand new Tica GT 4000 Spinning reel to the angler with the most fish. Lets be responsible and limit it to no more than 15 per guy, what the hell the first and 2nd place will get a GT4000!

I would normally love to be there and catching them myself but I just cant get away soon enough, and I will be going through a load of bait in the next few weeks....

Admin if this is frowned upon please let me know and I will remove it....

Seeing as I fish often enough with Matt, but unfortunately can't be there, would I also qualify 4 a reel if he catches say 30. Hee hee.
