I was invited to join a buddy of mine to take part in a fishing competition @ South Pier this Saturday hosted by the Richards Bay Harbour Personnel Angling Club...

The morning started out great. There was a slight breeze to start off with but as is expected in this part of the world the wind started 'pumping' in check with the incoming tide. By 11:00pm it was 'howling...

The turn out was good, all in all there were 87 Anglers who took part...

Of course of all the piers to fish in Richards Bay, this one is by far the most dangerous. The Dolossa here are the biggest and highly unforgiving...

Beautiful pictures ZXT. Nice looking water there! Like they say, every day is not catch day. Next time you will get them, I'm sure!::S

AG! You know Mike, it's like they say... "A bad days fishing beats a good day at work"... lol.

It's always more than catching fish for me, it's the planning, the outing, the trip, the adventure. Really just a chance to get 'out there' and have a brilliant day @ the water. It gives a person a chance to find that quite place in ourselves, relax, focus and take your mind off everything that doesn't matter... :sa:

YUP! I have to agree... I've been down to the 'Pier' on far worse days, the wrong tide with the oldest bait and landed far more fish...

As you said..."That's the joys of fishing"... lol.
