Like Zulu said, you can park at lombards and walk across.. We did it on our last comp, the parkies gave us some stick though, apparently the road next to the vegetation is still classified as beach.

@Zulu Nice fish there... Did u guys target any ineds? I see Ryan is living up to his monster catching expertise. lol:fbash

On my 'Big Stick' I'd clipped a Mackerel head which was out for most part of the day, my reel ran properly and after trying to get whatever picked me up to move a little my line parted... Not to mention how my wife almost wet herself when I smashed into the beach and ended up flat on my back... lol.

There was already a few guys at Nhlabane by the time we arrived, with a major sidewash it forced everyone to seriously increase their weights on their sinkers... lol. By 12:00pm the sea flattened, the wash eased, the wind settled and it turned out to be a superb days fishing...

One thing struck me when I looked at the pics where the guys were standing with lines in the water - it seems so tranquil & rustig out there.  

Is NHLABANE accessible with 4x4 only , or diff lock enabled 2x4, & whats the activity of the crims along the route & fishing spot  like ?    :uzi:uzi ????

One thing I hate is to fish with my senses being elsewhere but only to enjoy & relax next to the H2o.

Could you give me a summary of best catches these days during low & high over there pse ?

Yr food looks OUT OF THIS WORLD on that plate - geeeeees............. why do food always look so good & SCRUMPTIOUS in a pic ??       :cong::cong:

Right, well as for vehicles... There's no need for anything special, RBM 'jacked' the road good and proper. Nhlabane has become very popular with regards to the local Kayaking Club using the venue and RBM has become rather serious about maintaining access. The guys a using their cars...

There's always going to be a risk no matter where we are in this country and Nhlabane is no different. Make no mistake numbers count and we ALWAYS go prepared for any eventuality. I can also say the sense on comradery on the beach amongst us all is tangible, it's as if we are all looking out for each other, it's great.

Shot for the compliment about the food. I take preparing freshly caught fish very seriously, it's as if I'm glorifying the animal for providing me with a meal. Although I must be honest and say I didn't fillet or cook the garrick, all credit to Ryan... lol. But I did take the pics... lol, it must be the camera... lol.

Finally when it comes to a comprehensive 'catch report', that's a little difficult. It's still early in the season and the weather has been trully unpredictable. What's nice is that all the guys I fish with target completely different fish... It means that sometime one of us must 'come right'... lol. So far it's been good, as last weeks report on Nhlabane shows.

Also I'm staying off my 'Bamba' lately because conditions have been really fierce, hence all the R&S Fishing. I'll continue to post reports and try and keep you guys updated...

Jisss, lekker report ouens. Daai vis lyk nou lekker hier waar ek sit by die werk hoor. Ek sal maar my toebroodjies met kaas moet eet hier. haha..Lekker

I had a good look at Shanes trace afterward and something just didn't look right...

His set-up was your normal sliding sinker but instead of having the sinker slide his bait was sliding... So in a way I can understand why the Garrick took the sard...

With the current and sidewash at the time, the bait might have appeared rather lively with it sliding/moving freely up and down his line...
