Good morning All, I got these reels to do for Neil Rodwell from out of Cape Town. A saltiga 50 lever someone magged, a trinnie 30A, a saltist 30 leverdrag and a saltiga 50 hk stardrag reel. There were 2 issues requiring attention on the saltiga lever, excess driveshaft play and a mag that was not doing much at all. I serviced all these reels sorted the issues and the client is happy now. The knobby monomag magnet was way too small to do anything in terms of controlling the spool on this 50 so I replaced it with one of my own custom magstalks and it works right now. Check the pics, correctly serviced , sonic cleaned and assembled with the best grease, oils and JJ TLC they are nice and smooth and good as new again.

Nice work. I was the one who installed the smaller mag and on test casting found the control to be mre than adequate.

That said users may find different levels of control adequate or not.

By the by have tou evaluated the WURTH High Pressure Anti Corrosion spray?

Hiya craig no idea who fitted it. As you say personal preference I removed the 2 brake blocks left inside and I wanted more control so fitted my own mag stalk. We both know everyome works on different responses. Im sure your fitment worked well I just wanted some more control.

Good job there fitting on that reel is not as easy as it looks we know this.
